Our tale begins in Manchester, the heart and home of the Industrial Revolution. As a boy, our founder Alex Gregson was enchanted by creative writing; a passion he had inherited from his grandmother. Driven by the same desire to tell stories, he began forging his own creative path.
When Alex discovered sound design, the cogs began to turn and he founded 344 Audio. Everyone told him it couldn't be done, that he was foolish, but he was determined to make his vision a reality. More than a decade later, 344 Audio is an award-winning company crafting sounds for the world's biggest films, shows, and games.
And our vision goes beyond audio... We're creating more opportunities for creatives around the country, helping others avoid the same hardship Alex faced entering the industry. No matter your background, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to shape culture through storytelling.
