Audio Post Essentials is your complete one-stop course to learn everything you need to know about audio post-production in Pro Tools.

This course is one 6-hour day per week for 10 weeks and can be done remotely or in-person at our high-spec facility with Pro Tools Ultimate and 5.1 monitoring.

INTRODUCTION TO AUDIO

This course is perfect for beginners wanting to learn the fundamentals of digital audio recording. Whether it's for recording podcasts, voice overs or as a stepping stone to our other courses, we will give you a strong foundation of knowledge that can be built upon. The course will be delivered from our high spec facility where we work with the likes of Netflix, Warner Bros, BBC and many more.

Our friendly tutors are used to working with students of all different levels and will endeavour to make the first steps on your audio journey as smooth as possible.

You will be given a rich understanding of digital audio using the terminology you’ll encounter whilst recording in a professional environment, as well as creating your first recording and using different types of microphones.

You will learn: The core elements of sound design, the history of sound design, how unusual, effective sounds are crafted, working to briefs and deadlines, microphone types and their uses, experimental recording techniques, field recording and found sounds, using SFX libraries, processing and editing sounds, incorporating instruments, voice and body into your designs
